Booking Terms & Conditions

 

Craic On Travels (“we”, “us”, or “our”) value transparency and aim to provide clarity regarding our booking terms & conditions. Please review the terms below carefully.

1. Cancellation by the Customer

    • 90 days or more before departure: Full refund (excluding the original deposit). Original deposit can be used as credit towards another Craic On Travels package. Subject to availability (valid for 18 months from date of receipt.)

    • 60 – 89 days before departure: 50% refund (excluding the original deposit). No refund or credit for the original deposit will be given within this period.

    • Within 60 days before departure: No refund will be given.

There are exemptions to the above terms (please see Section 4 below)

2. Cancellation by Craic On Travels

    • If Craic On Travels cancels the trip, we will provide either 1) a full refund or 2) credit towards a future trip. Credit is valid for 18 months from the date of issue.

    • If the minimum group size stated for a trip is not met, we will offer a full refund. The minimum group size requirement is outlined in the trip itinerary and may vary depending on the trip.

    • Any refunds due under cancellation by Craic On Travels will be processed within 14 days from the date of cancellation.

3. Changes to Booking by the Customer

    • Customers wishing to change their booking may use their original deposit as credit towards another trip, provided they notify Craic On Travels. This credit is valid for 18 months, subject to availability. 

4. Force Majeure Events

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest, which significantly affect the performance of the package or the ability to travel to the destination, you have the right to:

    • Full Refund: If the package cannot be delivered as planned due to such events, you are entitled to a full refund of all payments made towards the package, without any penalty or termination fee.

    • Alternative Arrangements: Craic On Travels will offer credit to the equivalent of the cancelled package (valid for 18 months). You may choose to accept this alternative or opt for a full refund.

5. Refund Process and Timeline

    • Customers may request a refund by contacting us at [email protected] or messaging our Instagram page @craicontravels.

    • We aim to respond to all requests within 7 days.

    • Any refunds due will be processed within 14 days from the date of cancellation.

6. Customer Responsibilities

    • Travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers and must be purchased before the trip begins. Your travel insurance should cover personal accident, death, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation, with a recommended minimum coverage of €200,000 for medical and emergency costs. It is also highly recommended that your insurance includes coverage for cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, and loss of luggage or personal belongings. You must provide your travel insurance policy number and the insurer’s 24-hour emergency contact number before the start of your trip. If you have insurance linked to a credit card or bank account, please ensure you have the details of the participating insurer, the policy number, and the emergency contact number, rather than just the bank’s name or card details.
    • It is highly recommended for all travellers to purchase travel insurance before (i) booking on to a trip and (ii) booking flights for a trip to protect themselves financially in case of a cancellation by Craic On Travels.

7. No-Shows & Drop-Outs

    • If you leave a trip for any reason after it has started, we are not obliged to provide any refunds for unused services.

    • If you fail to join the trip, join after the scheduled departure, or leave before it ends, no refund will be provided unless unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent participation.

8. Payments

An initial deposit will be taken upon booking. Once the initial deposit has been paid, you will have two options for completing payment:

    • Pay in Full: The full amount to be paid at least 90 days before the trip commencement date.
    • Payment Plan: You may opt to pay in installments, with the first payment due one month after the initial deposit.

       

The customer may opt for a payment plan by responding to our confirmation email upon purchase of a package.

9. Changes to the Itinerary

While we strive to adhere to the itineraries as advertised, Craic On Travels reserves the right to make modifications if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of any changes, we will promptly inform all customers. Any alterations will be made with the goal of maintaining, or enhancing, the quality and overall experience of the trip.
